Finishing math the summer before attending?

I’m going into a non-math related field and applying to UCs/Cal States right now. Is it worth applying (specifically if anyone knows to UCI) if I’m not going to be able to finish a transferable math until possibly summer? I’m not sure if I’m able to pass the class I’m in now, which would push me back to completing the transferable course in summer. My GPA is decent and all my other prereqs/gen eds are finished (or will be, I just need one more science to take in spring and I’ll be done, excluding math). Do I realistically have a chance of acceptance, and if I do, would I need to finish that class at a cc before transferring or at the university?

You’ll have to finish by the end of spring with no exceptions as far as I know.

I think Psych for Berkeley (???) just added a Calc requirement, and they are allowing students to complete it in the summer. As far as I know, that’s all.

If you will be wholly unable to take it, then you must apply next year. No UC will accept you if you don’t have any college math courses completed (with the exception of AP credit, I think). I don’t know about CSUs.

Maybe you can take the math classes you need on the quarter system? i.e. Take the non-college level course during the winter quarter somewhere, and the college level one in the Spring. I’m sure they’re offered online, somewhere.

You will not be accepted if you do not have at least one transferable math course completed by the spring prior to transfer.

You are also ineligible to TAG at many schools if you do not have a math class completed by fall prior to transfer

And there’s this:
