Fired up, ready to go!

One of my daughters pointed me to this video the other day. Before this, I never did understand the “fired up ready to go” message in Obama’s speeches!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHfbKTiUH8U

great link- I hadn’t understood it before .

People talk about what change Obama is talking about.

It occurred to me- that I have already witnessed an inkling of how deep the change could go.
Voters with light skin and dark skin have found a shared excitement in a man who could lead them together. Not only “brothers under the skin”, but even on these boards- people who have been traditionally right of center- are finding much in common with those on the left.
This is truely exciting for our country.
It also was uplifting to see the states that Obama reached- not just the big states , with big cities, but those who make up the backbone of our country- all those square states ;)- that was encouraging to me- I get pretty tired about hearing of LA & NYC & I imagine Fargo does too. ( Obama took 61% in N.D.)

Whoopee!!!

Thank you for the link. Even though it is supposed to be uplifting, for some reason it brought tears to my eyes.

Good tears?

Tears are always good (unless they are fake).

LOL–I just posted about that on the 5 million thread…

If they were fake they were despicable.

I think they may have been genuine but mostly driven by self-pity. Good for her if that gave her a chance to blow off some steam.

It is telling that Obama makes his audience tear up while in Hillary’s case she is the one tearing up.

LOL, great link!! Such a sense of humor, and what a contrast to current President, in all ways. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, could we have such energy in the White House!

As I recall, the part of this story which is not included in the segment, is that Obama arrived by plane to a campaign stop early in his campaign, and as he deplaned he saw that a small group of people were waiting for him.

It was a bit awkward, especially when a woman, wearing a big hat, started the Fired Up , Ready to Go chant, and he was unsure about what was going on, who she was. She turned out to be a local council woman, who is known for this chant, and how WONDERFUL To actually SEE her in this link.

Thanks for posting !

SJmom:

Here’s a Youtube video from Labor Day in Hudson where he tells the story you mention.

What’s telling about this video is that it’s a small crowd, like a couple hundred people, and he’s giving them the same energy and enthusiasm that he does to his crowds of 15,000.
