First 100 days..

If you could tell whoever wins the next Presidential race what you want changed IMMEDIATELY, what would it be?
I’ll start it off:

Approving money for stem cell research.

Replacing admin for all the posts with real scientists that respect science and the facts.

Approving money for overseas AIDS provention groups, even if they may include groups that deal with abortion, but also deal well with birth control. Some of the best groups are being starved for cash because of the conservative line here.

I know there is so much to undue, I hardly know where to begin. What is your wish list??

Oh, yes, stop manufacturing “news”.

Allow whistleblowers to speak and clean up the problems, such as the misuse of millions of dollars by American contactors in Iraq.

Get us out of Iraq!

Appoint professionals WITH CREDENTIALS to all posts, From FEMA to Financial posts. NO MORE FRIENDS without knowledge…or with opinions that seem more important than good judgement.

Strive to care about the regular people out here. The companies may pay your electionn bills, BUT WE PAY YOUR SALARY…AND HEALTH CARE AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR LIFE. A President is supposed to be a President for ALL. Even Nixon knew that.

In sum…spend more money? Sounds like a win-win.

Mine: spend less…at least less than the current administration. Of course, that is very wishful thinking.

It’s not how much you spend…it’s what on! I would love them to get back the billions that they misspent on a ridiculous war and Iraq and wasted money on no bid contacts with companies that misused the money. So it’s how you spend the money that really counts.
Clinton didn’t have us in the red the way this RED admin does :-)

Prepare for the bird flu on a massive scale.

Get rid of the “riders” that can be attached to bills that cost us billions every year. Each bill should stand on its own without having to approve “pork” in order to get what we really want.

National single-payer health insurance. Save that 23% in administrative costs and spend it on people’s health instead of middle managers.

Massive campaign finance reform, beginning with a three-year ban on deposed congresspeople becoming lobbyists (since there’s likely to be a lot of 'em ;))

This is like writing a letter to Santa!
-decrease gov’t spending
-get rid of Ted Kennedy
-investigate and prosecute benefits fraud
-flat tax (therefore savings oodles on IRS agents  )
-have insurance plan that all could buy into if don’t have own “group”
-settle immigration issue once and for all
-increase teacher pay and remove tenure
-hefty fines on lawyers for filling frivolous law suits
