I remember reading something where there was a law that stated the first 20% of anything is not necessary. I forget the name of this so called ‘scientific law’. I understand it’s not a legitamite law but still i need it for something. thanks in advance

have you heard of google?

yes I have actually; I tried googling it and nothing came up. have you heard of adding something constructive to this website?

I’ve never heard of something like that. The closest thing I can think of is the 80/20 rule. 80/20 says that 80% of an effect is in 20% of the causes (from Wiki). An example I’ve experienced before is in programming. You have a few (dozen/hundred) commands that you may use a lot (e.g. for, if, while, import, new, var++, int, etc.), but to truly and completely learn the language, you have to learn the other 20% of the commands (like java.nio.channels.spi.SelectorProvider) take 80% of the previous time.
