My university, St. Bonaventure is having us submit a quick 600-750 word reflection paper on a book that was assigned to us over the summer. The book was The Boys in the Bunkhouse by alumni Dan Barry and is about a group of intellectually challenged men who live together in a compound in rural Iowa, where they are exploited for decades and forced to work the least desirable positions at a turkey processing plant, for less than legal wages.
The prompt that I selected is a basic “comparison to current events” and I am focusing on the relationship between corporations, consumers, cheap prices, and working conditions in Bangladesh.
Id really like to start the semester with stellar marks, so any feedback would be extremely appreciated.
