Best concert-The Who, 1971
Wish I’d seen-The Band

The only concert I ever went to other than symphony orchestra and school concerts was Van Cliburn. This was sometime in the 60s, when I was a teenager.

First Concert - Don’t remember. Maybe Peter Gabriel
Best Concert - Depeche Mode, forever. U2 at the Sphere…but that’s not a fair comparison.
Wish I’d seen - Led Zeppelin

Wish I’d Seen - can’t think of one, but I am going to Billy Joel again in April because he isn’t getting any younger!

I saw U2 in the Sphere - but it was woefully short (just two hours)…but kudos to Bono for not getting political.

I’ll add a runner up - last year I saw REO Speedwagon and Styx. Styx headlined and they’re solid but REO brought tons of energy and was great.

And as solid as Styx is, better is Dennis DeYoung, who I saw a few times with his band - and given he sang most of Styx songs and put on a fantastic show.

Earth Wind and Fire - another great show - never have I seen so many people dancing for so long.

Just so many great performers.

IME average concert length is around two hours, so it didn’t seem short to me. Agree on Bono, I’ve seen U2 a lot of times, and got tired of the preaching. No preaching/politics at the Sphere show I was at either.

I was tempted to go to the Billy Joel/Stevie Nicks concert this fall near me but it would have emptied my retirement account.

It’s sad that ticket prices are so high these days.
