<p>By the commonly accepted definitions, I’m a first gen student. You’ll find that schools often have one of two definitions of the term.</p>
<ol>
<li><p>Your parents never enrolled nor attended any post-secondary program. This is probably the most common.</p></li>
<li><p>Your parents attended, perhaps even matriculated, but never earned a degree from any post-secondary education.</p></li>
</ol>
