I’m asian (korean to be exact) and can speak and write korean fluently.
I have taken AP World history in 10th grade (3 on exam), AP Chemistry and AP Language arts and composition now… (probably 4 or 5 on exam since i studied this time lol)

The reason I quit swimming was because of the change of location of the pool. I would have had to ride a bus 3 hours a day to get to practice and not be home until 9pm.

How does having Air Force JROTC look on the application? I have really put most of my effort this year in excelling in rotc…

The COLLEGES I WOULD LIKE TO APPLY TO are:
Columbia University, Barnard College, Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, Smith, Yale, Pomona College…

What are my chances? BTW, legacies: My dad went to University of Illinois and Georgetown Medical on a Rotc scholarship and my Mom and one of her sisters attended Barnard College (before coed at columbia) and my mom’s other sister attended Columbia University and Columbia Law…My Dad’s sister attended Harvard, his brother attended the Air Force Academy…

Are there any other colleges I should look into? I’m interested in going to dental school…but then again, who knows?

Any help, comments would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

You haven’t mentioned your test scores, so I can’t really estimate your chances too well. Your stats seem pretty solid, although in your EC’s, you seem to be a jack of all trades but you don’t really seem to be deeply involved in any specific one.
Yale seems a reach, so does columbia. I can’t really tell you much about the others because I am not too knowledgable about the liberal arts colleges.

I think that with a solid SAT score and some good recommendation letters and essays, you should get Columbia.
Good luck!

OH SORRY! My sat score is 2000. I’m planning to retake in a month… (710 CR, 660 MATH, 630 writing)

My daughter is a DoDDS kid; she’s graduating from Menwith Hill HS next week and going to Pitzer College near LA next fall. Where do you go to school? I was in Germany last week for the track championships.
