Looks like the first semester tuition, fees, room and board bill is now available online: [University of Maryland | Testudo | Interactive Web Services for Current Students, Prospective Students, & Alumni](http://www.testudo.umd.edu/)

I believe it is due by August 20th. Get out those wallets! ;)

The total cost for the semester on mine is $15,937.95. Although its still alot of money I can’t imagine what some of my friends payments are like at more expensive, private universities.

so with the online bill-paying, is there anything special we need to do if our parents are the ones writing the checks/paying the bill? i just don’t want to accidently sign up to pay under MY name and end up having to transfer money into my checking account to pay for school

Perhaps you could have the bill-paying parent fill out the online bill payment information. Unless you give UMD your bank’s routing number and your own checking account number, they can’t take money from your account.
