First semster freshman, 2.5 gpa?

I dont exactly know what my gpa will be at the end of this semester, but I’m thinking it’s going to be in the 2.5-3.0 range, leaning more towards a 2.5…is this bad? I’m in the College of Arts and Sciences, Undecided major. The reason for it being so low is I predict I will get a C (2.0) in my Freshman Seminar class that I was falsely told was mandatory…it’s a lot more work and much more difficult than I thought and is almost entirely discussion based (I have horrible horrible discussion-fright haha).

So, if I finish this semester with a 2.5, is this a bad thing?

I don’t think it’s anything to be too concerned about! It takes time to adjust to college classes and you still have 3 years to bring your overall GPA up. Don’t be sacred to reach out to your professors/TAs if your struggling… I have found that NYU professors are, usually, willing to help by editing papers etc. Good luck!
