<p>It’s from “aish.com” out of Israel. Its authors are traditional but they try to include everyone. </p>
<p>This might be a fun link to send college kids from Reform, Reconstructionist or Conservative backgrounds. Sometimes they’re missing a detail or two. Plus lots of video, animateds, etc: </p>

<p>Happy Chanukah. Snowy in Buffalo, but what else is new? It looks like Chelm, the mythical town in Eastern Europe presided over by fools who think they are wise. Not unlike our local civic leaders here, sad to say. Figuring out how to renew our beautiful lakefront downtown is an ongoing Chelm Story.</p>

<p>D has finally gotten her package with gifts that I mailed out last week. I tracked it online and it was delivered to the school on Tuesday, but as of last night, she had not received the package or the notice in her mailbox. I sent it Priority Mail to ensure that she got it in time. So, this AM she heads down to the main mail center, and of course, the package was just sitting there on a shelf. Also there was another one from her aunt that had been sent by UPS and never made it to her mailbox. This is not the first time that this had happened - the package gets there, but someone “forgets” to write out the slip to go in the mailbox to notify them to pick it up. Now, if she can track down the envelope that her grandparents mailed from FL over a week ago, which had gift cards enclosed, everything will be accounted for. This has not been delivered either, and when I talked to MIL last night, she told me that she had not added on a delivery notification to it. My fear is that the card was put in someone else’s mailbox, and they never made the effort to get it back to the proper owner. She usually sends a check, but thought that D would appreciate the gift cards this year. D says that she and her roommate always get other students’ mail, but they make sure that they give it back to be put in the correct box. I hate to be pessimistic, but I don’t hold out much hope that she will ever get it.</p>
