First time dealing with student loans

I’d like to take out just $700 in student loans. Problem is, I have no idea how they work. Where do I go to get one? Do my parents need to know? (I’d like to do this without them knowing.)

After a lot of hassle, we just found out I could not get in-state tuition yet, so I had to drop most of my classes. I’m only taking 1 credit hour classes because that is all I can afford. If I had known I would not get in-state tuition, I would have been saving up. School is starting soon though, and I don’t have $700.

So, how do I get a student loan?

You’re not eligible to federal student loans because your’re not (at least) half-time student. Why you couldn’t get in-state tuition?

4kids, this thread is also by the OP. It explains the tuition thing.

4kidsdad is correct - you must be enrolled for 6 credit hours in a semester to be eligible for Federal loans.
