<p>Hey, I’m in 10th grade and i am planning on taking the ACT this comming April. My question is should i take the writing part or not since it is my first time taking it. What are the advantages and dissadvantages of taking it vs not taking it?

<p>there is not dissadvantage unless you dont do well. It doesnt affect your composite and will only show schools that you can write a solid essay. I wouldn’t make a big deal of it, cant hurt much to take it considering the essay is like a fifth grade prompt. </p>
