I posted this in the Med School forum but thought some parents might also be interested…

Can you imagine graduating from med school debt free? That should bring a few best students out for a serious look-see.

several med schools offer the same thing… u just got to do ur research. i plan to go undergrad and med school - w/o paying a dime.

Oh good! Name some names, so we can all share in this information.

http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/medschool/finaid/honor_scholar.php- Vanderbilt

WUSTL

are just two that i found in 3 seconds off of google.

Vanderbilt cite didn’t work

wustl is a competitive scholarship.

That’s a completely different thing than every student getting the freebies.

http://hsc.utoledo.edu/med/scholarships.html

also the medical university of ohio-presidential scholarship

well… nothing is free in life… i guess sometimes u have to compete

http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/medschool/finaid/finaid_for_med.php

So true–in this case of UCF, the competition would come at trying to get accepted into the med school.

go there and click honor scholarships on the left hand side underneath medical students (highlighted in green)

UCF: Not a bad idea at all. It will get more undergrads to take a serious look. and probably result in the school being more competitive sooner. What a great opportunity for students.

Which means that the scholarships will only be around for a little while…

as long as such a thing as “double minority” in science and medicine exists… i will always find a scholarship.

by the ways… the medical college of georgia isn’t too expensive.
