Thats just a snippet for those of you who didn’t feel like reading the whole thing. But this story brought the biggest smile to my face that I haven’t had in a long time. I especially like how he ended up at Goldman Sachs, DESPITE giving up a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to an Ivy, Columbia University. (shows a thing or two to those prestige whores out there :)) These are the type of things that I like to see. This is the New America to me.

But what do you guys think of the people, while they were just a few, that reacted negatively to this. What do you think this story says about this man, the student population, and the university as a whole?

The D of some friends of ours (white) went to a historically black college. She is interested in minority studies, esp. black history and women’s rights, and went to what she thought was the best place for her. She’s very bright and a good writer; she’ll likely occupy a unique place in her field some day.
