Sophmores pretty soon woohoo…it actually went kinda fast ;)

Congrats CH. I hope your college career is going well so far.

My son will be there this August. Do you have any material regrets or positives? Any absolute do’s, dont’s, or “if-I-had-it to-do-overs” come to mind?

I am a student up at Penn State-UP right now. My one material regret was that I didn’t get the most popular football jersey before the fall semester started. haha The football season gets here and all of the good jerseys go fast. I know that is nothing critical, but it bothered me. A big thing you also want to do is figure out where your classes are and how to get there BEFORE the morning of the start of your first class. There are too many freshmen walking around having to waste time trying to ask directions because they didn’t figure out where the buildings with their classes are on campus. It can sometimes take a while to get to your class if it’s across campus. Everything else will just fall into place. The people here are amazing and he is going to love Happy Valley.

ahah yeah figurin out your classes is important. I wouldnt say I have any specific regrets. Every time I may think that it would have been better if I did this or that, I remind myself that with “one good” change may come other bad ones.

Actually I do wish I studied for physics a bit more ;). But thats about it.

Absolute do is manage your time well (very important), especially if your an engineer :).
