Looking to expand our list of first-year abroad programs. Currently, our daughter is interested in Creighton’s Global Scholars program and U Del’s World Scholars program as they both provide a four-year experience.
Any other suggestions to add to the list? We are familiar with FSU and Northeastern’s first year abroad programs as well.
Some schools have spring admits - and might preference those students. They may not have their own abroad but they allow you to work with others - a Hamilton, I’ve read about, comes to mind.
Here’s a link I found which might give you more ideas.

There are schools with first-year programs at their own overseas campuses, like Marist in Florence, Bard in Berlin, Temple in Tokyo, and SLU in Madrid. SLU also has a 2+2 plan.
Hamilton’s is a January admission and one of their recommendations to make use of the fall is a Fall semester in London with Arcadia. Students are not matriculated at Hamilton during the fall until they enroll for spring.
Program is solid, every year 20-30 kids participate. They take classes with various other students from such as Brandeis. No financial aid from Hamilton since technically not a Hamilton student yet.
There is also a first semester in London option with Skidmore where the program is run by Skidmore itself and kids are Skidmore students while they attend. If you have financial aid, it applies to the London semester.
