<p>I don’t believe it will be possible to transfer in as part of the 2016 class. Last year, U of C over admitted freshman applicants. The targeted class size was 1400, but 1525+ arrived in September due to a jump in admit yield. Besides 125+ too many students, there are also plans to take a dorm out of service in June 2013 to construct a new dorm in its stead. There’s bound to be a on-campus housing crunch for new students.</p>
<p>There is no “Comm” major or department at the U of C. Try Northwestern or Penn.</p>
