Fitness class or intramural?

Do people enjoy the fitness classes that the school offers or is it better just to do an intramural with your friends?? The classes sound nice though as I will be forced to go so I won’t give up after a week. And how do they grade you?? is it just pass or fail?? or by effort??

i enjoy fitness classes. most of them are one or two hours a week and give u the chance to loosen up from schoolwork. depending on what class u take, u might learn something completely new (ballroom dancing, fencing, sailing, etc) or sharpen your skills in a popular sport u already know how to play. either way, the ones i’ve taken so far were all fun and gave me an opportunity to meet people in a relaxed setting.

you’re graded on attendance. the classes are pass/fail… in most of them, you’re allowed about 2 or 3 absences. anything after that, u can easily make up by attending an hour your instructor’s other classes (or if he allows u to, any other BU phys ed class)

Yeah I took an Intro to Rock Climbing class, it was wicked fun, and like bost88 mentioned, having a class forces me to actually go to the fitrec. There are soo many classes offered but some of the more popular ones like sailing and rock climbing fill up really quick.

S took both swing and ballroom dancing the first semester and enjoyed them.

I have a question. I didn’t get the chance to sign up for a PDP class because all the good ones were taken. However, does the FitRec offer like yoga or karate clubs that people can join?
