I’m extremely interested in health, fitness and nutritional topics, but the traditional careers for that don’t have that much of an impact on more than a handful of people. Personal trainers, etc. really only impact the few people they train. I want to help solve problems like childhood obesity, and that isn’t going to happen on a small scale.

One idea I’ve had is the video game industry, specifically focusing on exercise games and the like. It’s creative and can seriously help solve health issues. The problem with this is that I’m unsure if I’m interested in video games enough anymore to pursue a career in them. Combined with the fact that I love to be outside and active, I’m not sure if I want to sit infront of a desk all day. The vast majority of video games don’t interest me anymore either, so again I don’t know.

Any thoughts on careers that involve creativity and focus on health, fitness, and nutritional issues?
