Fixing a wrong report....

The more I think about it, the more I believe my score report is wrong. There is just no way I received a 22. At the very top of my report, it says “Here are the scores for your 04/06 test”. It was 4/26, which is a typo, most likely on everyones. But it makes you wonder. A friend of mine received a 33 on Science and he said that he thought he did terrible. How can I fix this report, or have it hand-graded? Thanks
Pat

I noticed the date mistake too. But I hope to god it was done correctly. I <3 my score.

Anyways:

<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT;

maybe you misbubbled.

uh, here is the info about errors on your score report:

<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT;

04/06 means April 2006. They don’t print the exact date of testing on any reports.

There were two different April tests though.

I am almost certain my report is incorrect. They charge for everything! To get it rescored (thier mistake), it is $25. They should score it free, if there is no mistake, you pay. If there is a mistake, they should pay.

This is how it works…you pay to recheck…if there is a error found then you get your money back.

Excel, what did you get on your ACT?

I did not take the in state test…

Patrick, if you got your ACT scores from The College Board, you’re right: they’re almost certainly wrong.

Also, Patrick, getting it rescored isn’t “their mistake”. How do you or they know they made a mistake until it’s been rescored? If they offered to rescore for free, then everyone who didn’t like their (accurate) scores would ask for a rescore, and that would delay things for the people who really did have wrong scores. Not to mention the fact that no one would pay AFTERWARD if the rescore didn’t go in their favor. Why would they?

I can understand. I guess the reason I am complaining is that they charge for every little thing. But yes, maybe my score is right. It is similar to someone taking the ACT, expecting a 32, and received a 22. It is extremely tough to believe. Like someone else said, my best bet is to just take it again and see what happens. Too bad the next one for Colorado is October.
Pat

I know that there was a testing date on April 8th and on April 26th. I took it on April 26, the reason that they only put the month and year is because on the yop of your sheet it says: “TYPE OF TESTING: STATE”. So they aren’t wrong.

Patrick, you should for sure get your score rechecked. I’ve heard a lot of stories about wrongly scored tests- the worst that could happen is that you really did get a 22. It’s worth getting it checked out…

I am sending in the request with a check tomorrow. Thank you guys for the help.

Good luck! tell us what happened =)

Received my report back, no change. They said it was hand-scored, and the report was correct. I have strong doubts now. I almost don’t even want to take it again, assuming it won’t be scored correctly…

Patrick, did you take the June 10th one?
You could order your test with your answers for $14 if it was non state testing. you can make sure for yourself if you dont trust them.
If you really want to raise your score, maybe you should hit the books until the fall, study for the act all day for months. if you miss one on a practice test, make your self do similar 10 problems do you will have that type nailed down.

Sorry to hear PatrickK, but i’m not too surprised. I think mistakes are fairly uncommon unless you knew for sure you made a gridding error or something similar.

Agree though, it’s not going to be hard to bring that score up. Start cramming and i’m sure you’ll see a remarkable improvement before the next test date arrives.

Patrick!, Patrick!!, Patrick!!! …

What you failed to mention to us previously…
That you are only in the 7th grade?
And only 13?
What the heck???
And, so your ACT score remains at 22…sorry there was no change-
I know a few juniors (soon to be seniors) that would have loved to score a 22 this year.

Someday, as you progress through high school, you will achieve the academic background which will lead to a higher aptitude for better scores.
…Now, go out and have fun…
Spend this time with your friends and enjoy while you can!

“Do Not!” I repeat, “DO NOT become a CC Wh*%e!!!”
Try not to become OC with all this until much, much later.

G’Luck buddy-

You’re in 7th grade? Why the hell are you even caring so much about it? I got like a 20 in 7th grade and I got a 34 on my first attempt when it really counts, without any preparation.

Enjoy life before high school screwss you over man, don’t worry about stupid standardized tests so early.
