<p>Barrons, you mentioned that the east coast is too far to go. You might check out air fares and make a mini-vacation of it. I haven’t looked at the dates but Southwest has been having a 3-day sale with all fares from Seattle cut in half. Incredible deals! I think it’s still going on. Or skip this concert and go to London – got a Travelzoo bulletin yesterday advertising $178 one-way fares from Seattle to London on British Airways including a “two nights free!” hotel deal. Wow, it’s odd to see fares dropping.</p>

<p>I did take a college friend free of charge to the CSNY show. If my wife does not want to go somebody here might get lucky. I’ll wait to see a few reviews before i buy I think.</p>
<p>PreConcert at McCormick’s, whole dungeness crab, Puget oysters on half shell. Columbia River wines? Limo to the Concert. Post Concert at Westin. Midnight San Juan and Victoria cruise. </p>

<p>I hope the crabs are better where you are. I’ve just spent a lot of money at McCormick and the crabs were crapier than my home cooking. Not bragging. Just regretting.</p>
<p>We discussed this at dinner. S2 said for that price we could fly to Finland and see his favorite bands on their home turf.</p>

<p>Have 7th row tix to see them in my town for $150 each (+ripoffmaster fees). The most I’ve ever paid was $600 pair for 4th row seats on the floor to see Springsteen/E Street reunion show several years back. There was a 6’7", 250 lb. guy in front of me standing the whole concert so I had to strain to see around him. That’s why I never get floor seats anymore (my seventh row for Fleetwood is first level). Took 2nd level to see The Eagles next week because I didn’t feel $350 was worth it for closer seats. After all, Elton & Billy Joel together in March at the same venue was only $150 for fifth row!</p>
<p>I saw them in 1974 and prefer the pre-Buckingham/Nicks music, with Bare Trees as my favorite album. Never been much of a Stevie Nicks fan, except for “Stop Dragging My Heart Around” with Tom Petty. I love the whole sordid story of the band though.</p>
<p>Most I’ve paid was about 150 (scalped) to see Springsteen on the Magic tour–last row. </p>
<p>My kids paid about 60 for the inside of the standing area for U2 (was random who got let into the inside), made it to the front of the stage, and S shook Bono’s hand. Much better bargain.</p>

<p>But you don’t need to have a date to have a good time at a concert. I have gone to both club & arena shows by myself. I had a * great/amazing* time when I flew down to Santa Barbara last spring and saw back to back concerts at the Arlington. Nadia Solerno-Sonneberg/Eddie Vedder. I had Ms. S-S sign two Cds & the next night, third row & Eddie rapelled from the balcony almost in my lap. ( but I was too intimidated by the beefy security to take a picture)
After I got to meet some fanclub people at a pub where Dirty Frank, a PJ tribute band was playing. Great Fun.</p>
<p>Never saw FM in concert but during the summer of '75 I had their self -titled album in heavy rotation ( along with " Everyone knows this is Nowhere"). Neil’s album is the only one I still listen to.

<p>Looks like I’ll have to decide tomorrow. Hmmmmmmm. Never a big Beatles fan so I would not pay $50 to see them even if they had a magic all member reunion tour. I keep hearing Led Zeppelin will tour if the can get Plant to go along. That’s another show I’d pay big bucks to see up close. The rest I have been there done that. So it’s a very limited number of concerts left on my list which is why I feel justified to pay whatever it takes to see them up close. I have been there and nothing compares. I’d stay home rather than sit back where I can’t see their faces clearly and actually hear the words before they hit my ears through the sound system. I can still recall sitting so close to Eric Clapton (circa 1969-70) that I could watch his cig burn down in his guitar headstock while watching his fingers move around as he played.</p>
<p>I saw them back in the 70’s–they were opening for the Eagles at that show. I thought they were better than the Eagles, by the way. But that much $ to see them now? I don’t think so.</p>

<p>First time I saw the Eagles they opened for the Stones circa 1974. Thought they were pretty good for an opening act.</p>
