Worth it? I’m a big fan and this might be the last chance to see them before it’s too late. Especially Stevie Nicks. No Christine but that’s Ok with me.

I’m thinking yes. Unfortunately my wife is not such a big fan–anyone else around Seattle want to go?

Barrons, I saw them a few years back when they were on tour. I actually saw them twice.
The first time was near the beginning of their tour and they were fantastic. I did miss Christine , but only because the songs she was the lead singer in were some that I really like. Still , it was great to see them in concert.
The second time was nearer to the end of their tour…I think the two concerts were about 16 months apart. The second concert definately showed their fatigue and boredom with touring.
It was sort of disappointing . Mick Fleetwood did a seemingly endless drum solo…someone we were with decided to go sleep in the back of the car until the concert was over.
I am guessing that they have since become more engergized and will again put on a great show…I hope you don’t have to pay that much money to see them !!

I loved the Fleetwood Mac that put out Rumours, but there’s no way I’d pay $725 each to see them today. I just don’t even begin to have that kind of disposable money, but I also just don’t know whether they are worth listening to these days. I saw them at the US festival back in 1982. It was kind of disappointing. They were so obviously on the outs with each other. If Stevie had a solo Christine wasn’t on stage and vice versa. Mic was the only one who seemed to get along with everyone.

They are coming to my area in May. I can’t see paying that much in this economic time, but will certainly take any of the free tickets the radio stations are offering.

Does anyone know if Lindsey Buckingham is doing the whole tour? I have not heard who is touring this time out.

I saw them a few years back in Mountain View, CA. I don’t know if I would pay $725 to see them now. Can you get a cheaper ticket and bring your binoculars.

Last time I saw them was in Boulder at the CU football stadium circa 1978. They were good but the venue sucked.
The Seattle date is pretty well into the tour so they might be tired/bored alright. Last time I got similar tickets was about 10 years ago at the same venue (Tacoma Dome) for CSNY. Then it was about $500 and well worth it to me. The early shows are all east coast–too far to go.

So what’s Christine’s problem–that she not Stevie Nicks? Sorry C, you have a nice voice and some nice songs but Stevie has magic. Swallow your pride and cash the checks.

We’re going to see them when they come to Toronto in March. $750 sounds like a bargain compared to the cost for comparable tickets here - $2000+/each. Fortunately, we’re going courtesy of my H’s employer who has a box at the arena where they’re playing. Not front row but still a great location, with delicious food, and free! I’d go for it, barrons, you’re obviously a big fan.

Sidenote :
Stevie Nicks can no longer hit her notes and it really changes the songs.
You can hear it if you have access to Itunes and sample such songs as " Rhiannon" or "Silver Springs " live and unplugged concert versions

Ahhhhh Fleetwood Mac. Rumours. I saw them in the old Tangerine Bowl in Orlando in 1977. If you have never seen them live, it might be worth it to you. But I suspect they will sound the same a little further back. You could be setting yourself up for a big disappointment at $700+ a ticket. I don’t think 30 years later it will be “the same.” Then again, I seem to recall Stevie having trouble hitting some of those high notes live even back then… I remember the show was great, the live sound back then, not so much.

And come on, up too close your gonna see the wrinkles, or the plastic surgery scars…

OK, here is a review from June 2008. Might be worth a read before you drop that $1500 for a set of two tickets. (And I love FM and Stevie). And notice that the first 12 rows get rather emotional about Stevie. The crowd might be a little less female given that it is a Fleetwood Mac concert and not just a Stevie Nicks concert. The references to Hillary Clinton made me giggle.

Stevie Nicks Saturday, June 7 Hard Rock Live
Better than: Watching Stevie Nicks 10 years from now.

Nahh, too expensive. I did buy two tickets for my son to see them when they come to his area. (birthday present) He’s a big fan. I did NOT get him front row. :)

hahaha
If I paid that much to see Pearl Jam, Eddie would be giving me a backrub after ( or at least Boom)
or airfare would be included.
I would look on livejournal, someone always gets tickets and can’t go at last minute.
Where are they playing?

The most I ever paid for a concert ticket was $ 200…for the Eagles and also Eric Clapton.
Eagles delivered…Clapton was too depressed from the death of his child to make the price worth it

You guys are assuming that you have to pay for that ticket. Barrons said no such thing. Have you thought that barrons might be in a giving mode and would just take you there? He might expect a nice dinner or something.

P.S. I am retired. Have time and can pay airfare.
