<p>I’ve seen several threads here about essay length, and many seem to suggest that going over the word count is, within reason, not a big deal. None of these threads, though, had to do with the Fletcher School, so I’m wondering if it’s okay to go over by fifty or so words on the MALD essay. Even if they’re not going to do a word count, is it going to look bad, even if the stuff is pertinent?</p>
<p>No. Fifty words aren’t going to affect your application. The word counts are set for people who either write novels or send it two paragraphs. Don’t worry about it. Good luck!</p>
