Flex Dine vs Meal Plan

What is the difference between Flex Dine & a meal plan?

How much per meal is someone with a Flex Dine option charged per meal?

Thanks!

If you’re not a freshman living in the dorms, then how it works is either you get a Debit Card sort of basis, which is a Flex Dine plan. The money can be used for anything on campus, e.g. Panda Express and everything at the Student Center, Java City, Subway, Starbucks, etc. (not including off-campus sites like In-N-Out, KFC, etc.). Meal Plans work for just the three eating commons, Brandywine, Pippin, and Mesa Commons, where you get a number of swipes, which is basically one entry to the buffet to those places. Without mean plans, it costs about 7 dollars for breakfast, 9 for lunch, and 11 for dinner.
