Flex Path Submission???

I was filling out information for Worcester Polytechnic Institute on the common app. I came across this option
“If you are NOT submitting SAT or ACT scores, but rather opting to submit Flex Path materials, please use the space below to describe your Flex Path Submission.”
What does “Flex Path materials” mean?
