There is a German-based website 1001Lights that carries the Gregg pendants at a lower price (not sure if low enough) for your budget and they ship to the USA.
Yes, pearl one is one of my favorites for the cool shape
You found a plain globe style for outdoor for under $100!!! That may be the winner…have been looking for an outside globe forever. When I research the MCM courtyard entries, most of them have the simple globe…or cool shapes like the Gregg one or the pearl one
That lovely flat river pebble strip makes me think cottage or woods instead of MCM and most of the floating vanities just seem too contemporary and sleek. Also gray doesn’t seem to go. Would you consider a footed vanity that leaves a few inches open, maybe even in white?
This is a large 14" globe. There might be more on Wayfair. It allows to sort light pendants by “damp location” and other features. Very nice.
I also tried Amazon, but its search engine just sucks. I hate Amazon with a passion for this. They do it on purpose - to show you as much unrelated crap as possible so you would get sidetracked and suckered into buying more. Not acceptable when all I want is specifics.
@HImom the Barcelona vanity is the exact one I put into the little Hoarder House!! It has a fantastic and unusual design. However, it came shipped in one solid piece, top and sinks attached. The guys almost killed me as they had to carry it up those steep front stairs and shimmy the thing on its end through the 24” doorway off a sharp let turn in hallway
If you look closely at the pebbles…they really aren’t pebbles, they are flat cuts on marble stone in the retro atomic shapes. I think I need to take a closer picture
@coralbrook — love all you’ve done. I do like things that either rest solidly on the floor (so you don’t have to clean a tiny space between there the cabinet ends and the floor) OR big enough for the robotic vacuum to clean. That was how we chose the couch—legs had to be high enough for robotic vacuum!
@doschicos, that was my point - the floor seemed more cottage than MCM. I had up the picture that Cb had posted of the floor and was looking at floating cabinets next to it and they just didn’t seem to fit. I thought those legs on the $3000 cabinet looked very 1950’s, like an old tv table. I’m hanging around the house recovering from a broken foot so have nothing better to do than endlessly scroll through web sites :-S .
Sorry Marilyn, for some reason I typed @himom for the cabinets in previous post.
I’m waiting until I have all of my returns for IKEA gathered together. For some reason we end up with endless pieces and parts extra that we do not need… but at least with IKEA I can take them back to return, unlike other cabinet orders. Sometimes I can return all kinds of Kraftmaid stuff to Lowe’s that I get that I don’t need, which seems weird because it is all custom / special order.
When I go back in I’m going to look very carefully at their kitchen cabinets to see if we can hack a floating vanity out of the kitchen cabinets. They have some fun colors. I think the glossy flush type cabinets might look good in there as a floating vanity with very slim handles.
I have analyzed that it will cost me only about $600 to get the cabinets, another $300 to modify them and install, then about $250 to get countertop and sinks installed.
In researching, I think that mint green color is not available in the USA; I found references to it being sold in Australia and also for pounds. But not dollars. IKEA seems to be using the picture to sell accessories rather than cabinets in their website.
The relief kind of works with the shower wall design, just squares instead of rectangles. Can’t tell how close the shades are.
I like the dark turquoise -the pebble tile seems to include a darker teal tone although it’s hard to tell in the photos for sure. The darker cabinet would pull out the greens on the floor. If you’d rather not emphasize that shade, then a more neutral cabinet would work better, probably the lighter the better.
I cannot find the relief door design on the kitchen ordering website either. The cabinet BunsenBurner has in her link is the light grey green color I want, maybe I’ll have to hack that TV cabinet:) but its only 15" deep, so I would have to buy 3 of the white box cabinet frames. Will have to go into IKEA and see if the doors and cabinet sizes line up.
Ill bring a piece of the tile to see what looks good
@Marilyn . i think you hit the jackpot!!! The relief plain cabinet is just the right size…i could use 3 of them to fill the space and have something fin in there
And the other link has the drawer fronts in my favorite color!!! I see a Hack coming on:)
