This sounds bad… Normally, I would not recommend doing this kind of stuff. But does your HD take back plants? Ours does. Buy a few pots, take photos, then return them in a few hours.
I think they made enough profit off your project so such small misdeed should be morally justifiable!
I think a lower list price is a better strategy than list it at full market. You will get more foot traffic and the bids will come in faster. The house will sell at what it worth in this market, don’t worry.
How about a range? I’ve seen a lot of ranges listed in your area. Say $899-925? Then people using search engines looking under $900 will pick it up and maybe be willing to stretch over $900. I speak from experience! These listings seem to be selling middle or higher end of the range.
You can post one photo for the view
I meant for Mls you don’t have to have professional photos on day one just take a shot at the Ocean view from the window and post it on Mls will be good for now
Here’s wishing you a quick CASH sale at a strong price
Yes, we posted one photo of living room to give the feel of the house. Couldn’t take a shot of outside because tons of trucks, guys working and trash being madly thrown down to sidewalk to get cleaned up
Real time update!
Listed at 8am today. Three calls from agebt already. Two agents have already shown up to preview and another bringing clients in an hour
Yes! Multiple offers to come, several over asking price!!
That is atypical of CA real estate. The first day is always frantic.
found it online. nice write-up. GOOD LUCK!
OK, photographer come and gone. Mad rush to try to get everything perfect , but it never is. Two more agents came through to preview for their clients while we were trying to take photos. We’ll see what happens
cb, did the agents seem to think the price was appropriate?
I’m secretly hoping that someone who has been following this thread will buy it! And will invite us all to the housewarming party!
I only had the guts to ask one of the agents and he said its “in the range” because of low inventory. But because these agents are representing buyers they are probably not going to say too much about the price yet.
Well, “in the range” is better than “I think you’re crazy.”
Did your house numbers arrive yet?
House numbers arrived in the nick of time! They got installed last night. I forgot to take a picture.
I have a new dilemma that I had to put my key into the realtor’s lockbox and my carpenter has the only other key. I’m now officially locked out of the house until tomorrow morning. This would normally be OK, but I have to place a huge order for loading tomorrow morning for all our deck lumber and parts… and I left the list in a kitchen drawer. I shoved it into a drawer during photos - should have shoved it into my purse. Recreating it on HD order website from my head right now. This will turn into several more runs to HD tomorrow because I a) ordered all the wrong things and b) forgot some stuff.
