Have you considered a rich mossy color?
I tried a mossy grey and it looked olive in the room. It fought with the vanity. If I had known I was in love with the dark blue walls I would’ve purchased a white vanity. But I’m stuck now so i have to make it work
You could paint the vanity
I sure hope I don’t have to go in that direction of painting a vanity!!
Today I’m in a fight with dumpster company. We are on our 6th or 7th dumpster, I lost count. The driver showed up before 8am and the painters had to unlock gate and open fence. Same driver as always and he knows we have new sewer line that is only 3 inches under dirt at end of driveway.
He proceeded to push dumpster in at an angle right over delicate sewer line which will be protected as soon as we get our driveway poured next week. But we have to get all this trash out of here before we can form driveway.
My carpenter showed up and started begging him to move it to other side of driveway but he wouldn’t do it. I’ve got a call into the boss who says they will come back and move it. We have no choice at this point but to start filling it up heavy because it is being hauled away tomorrow and getting replaced with a special low boy for concrete. We still have to haul away all that concrete from tearing out the foundation.
We are going to have to dig up entire line to make sure its OK before we pour driveway. So far we don’t see poop bubbling up or horrid smells in this heat
Then we can finally get to an open driveway!
That 1/2" with the fridge will most likely never be noticed by someone walking through the kitchen, if they do notice it after 5 minutes it will sink into the background and be invisible. I wouldn’t rip the drywall out from the back.
If it bugs you that much, think of it as your humility square.
For the range hood, maybe run a thin bead of caulk along where the drywall is overhanging to make for a little neater transition. But I think this is also in the category of something no one will ever notice and will be forgotten in 5 minutes if they do.
The drywall lip is too noticeable and looks very sloppy. I don’t like sloppy. So we are forming a rounded edge of mud over it and then gently sanding
I would leave the fridge–honestly. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Most so-called “counter depth” fridges stick out. “Built in” fridges do not. As everyone else said, leave it as is!
I still think a pale butter yellow would look nice in the powder room. It has no windows, so the yellow would add a ray of sunshine. I think it would look good with the vanity also. I forget what the floor is in there, however!
Does olive fight with the vanity? I was looking at some of the more yellowish green/grays on the Moore chart and thought they might look cool with it.
My other thought was a nice rich camel/tobacco golden brown that would work well with the tones of the floor.
Am I the only one here who thinks too much color is too much? I prefer my walls off-white.
@BunsenBurner - I’m with you, aside from my kids bedrooms my entire house is Swiss Coffee which is basically white. Though I have good friends and family with lots of color on walls and I think it looks great.
I’m personally a fan of off white and that’s what we have throughout our house. Am not a fan of green or lavender walls, tho we bought our home in spite of them using those colors extensively as accents.
I would also do a warm white in the powder room and aim for a fresh, crisp look (though I voted for navy if white is out.) I tried to find a photo with navy walls and that color green. If you go to bungalowblueinteriors(dot)com and scroll down to about the 10th photo there’s a pic of a navy bath, white trim, and a ceramic urn that’s similar to your green. The navy does make the green “pop.” It would be dramatic, if that’s what you’re after.
I’d probably stick with white since that’s in the rest of the house and this room is pretty central. Black door, dark brown floor, blue green vanity - essentially navy would be adding a fourth color to the room. What about the green of the front door, since it’s so close to powder room? I was playing in Photoshop and a deep teal made the vanity pop; not sure if the front door is clean green or has some blue in it.
Make sure the subway tiles don’t fight with the marbling in the top of the vanity before you put them on the walls!
I spent most of the day throwing my hands in the air trying to figure out the powder room. But I also spent a lot of time supervising my gorgeous master bathroom tile getting done. I don’t think the photos do it justice and the tile is not grouted in yet. But, we definitely have a statement going on in the master bathroom
I’m leaning toward possibly putting in dark expresso cabinets so I went and got a sample door in espresso and I’m going to hold it up in there tomorrow.
My agent has agreed to come over tomorrow and help look at vanity ideas. I have one navy blue swatch, one deep grey with a hint of lavendor and one white wall. I’m going to make the poor carpenter pick the vanity up and put it against each wall to see which one we like the best. The problem with the white / off white is that the vanity top just fades away against the white. And the sconces and mirror won’t pop either
We have decided the white subway tile is out… not a good idea. But we might do some kind of wainscot with white bottom and dark top of walls
The walls are white in the main areas because it is true to the spanish plaster house. But, I don’t think anyone who looks through Houzz photos or anything goes ‘Wow’ look at that white powder room
Zipyourlips, that is a very pretty website but I didn’t see any picture fitting your description. I’m looking on my phone; maybe that’s the problem.
I agree about NOT using that subway tile. Just doesn’t work for me in this house.
Of course, this is what I really wish I could do but it may not appeal to everyone and costs a lot of money. I cannot remember whether links to houzz photos are against the rules.

This is very similar to the style of the mirror I bought and the sconces with a white top (just not a bluish green bottom)

Wow, I love that bungalow blue website. Great inspiration ideas there. I think the reference is the photo with the two bright green chairs and the blue behind the bookcases.
