Flip This House #5

So instead of a pool they put in another garage, what ever floats their boat. Sounds promising!

Didn’t the father/son agents who sold you that property act smarmy when they were selling you this house too?

Oooh myyyy, the new photos are drop-dead gorgeous. Those palm trees are just right outside the dining room windows. The floors are beautiful. The sunset views from the sink make me so nostalgic for my parent’s old house .
The mesh inserts, which I hated, are perfect. Surely most people in this price range aren’t going to have my first thought- how do I clean this ? . They have people who do that. Out of the ballpark!

I’ve decided to ignore my cleaning instincts and go for the Wow factor for the upper cabinets. Easily changed by a buyer (of course some buyers don’t want to lift a finger)

The agent that was unethical was selling agent for the Hoarder House. He’s an out of area agent, not local to Point Loma.

Great pictures! I really like the dining room light. The house has such simple lines that it’s nice to have the bling in that fixture.

What is going in the kitchen and living room?

This place has more than a WOW factor!! It’s fabulous.

The large living room fixture has not arrived yet. I hope it gets here tomorrow.

I honestly haven’t ordered anything yet for kitchen. I want to be in love with it. I’m thinking of trying to find something that is in subtle arabesque style.

Those dang replacement cabinet doors are not scheduled yo arrive until Nov 21. At least I was able to track them down

I still think you should choose and install the kitchen drawer abd cabinet hardware. The kitchen is looking fabulous, but it looks a little unfinished without the hardware. Even seeing the one drawer pull in the picture improved the look of that cabinet bank in my mind.

The drawer pull really made the cabinet pop. Agree with Nottelling.

The cabinet handles will get put on this week. It’s my personal job and i need to get it done slowly and carefully because I don’t want to drill a hole in the wrong place. Been there , done that!!

The coolest residential garage we have seen was a 2 car garage with a basement and a hydraulic lift. It could fit 4 cars. The hydraulic lift made so much noise and was so intimidating it looked like a thing from a horror movie. Maybe your multi-car buyer can dig up something like that! But that is the BUYER’s problem.

The place looks fantastic!!! I need to convince Mr. to move to San Diego.

Ah, CB, the house is just amazing! I’m so glad the potential buyers were able to view it and recognize the quality and care you are taking. Lots of photos sounds promising!

CB, love everything about this house. The range hood turned out beautifully, so custom and appropriate for the home. The cabinets with the inserts are great. The living room is WOW. The tile floor at the entry is so cozy. Good luck.

Oh…and the slab of granite backsplash behind the stove looks FABULOUS. So glad you went with that option.

The buyer won’t be able to put a hydraulic lift because our garage ceilings are really low. I’ve seen those in large barn type garages. The neighborhood doesn’t have really large garages, especially1937 homes, except in a couple new build mansions

Cb, sorry to steer off topic… the lift we saw lowered the cars into the basement of the garage. So when the lift was in the full up position, it was even with the garage floor, and the garage looked like it could only house 2 cars, but there was a shop and space for 2 cars underneath. Absolutely creepy!!

I must say I think it is a horrible waste of land in that spot to add another garage, but if that’s what he wants…

Renting garage space in some cheaper area would make for sense to me. Oh well.

Everything is looking great.

Forget about the garage situation…not CB’s issue now…or ever. Once a buyer ponies up the money and owns the place…that is THEIR issue.

We are just taking about cool engineering designs, not trying to convince cb that she needs to do anything about the garage situation. It is up in the buyers’ court.

We have not received any feedback from the buyer’s agent yet. I don’t expect any serious interest in a house before completion. It usually never happens. But I always want to hear feedback on what they didn’t like.
