Wow, even completely empty the house looks spectacular!
To me the photos of the gate and walkway make it look like the neighbor’s house down the hill completely blocks views from your house. Perhaps if the photographer moved up the hill just a bit, or off the path to the right, they could remove the neighbor’s house from the pics.
Agree, we are going to adjust the angles for the final photo shoot. First, better entrance photos (for some reason all that money on landscaping looks like nothing in those dang photos!) Then I believe a straight shot into living room (rather than angles) would do it more justice.
Believe me… I was not happy when they came into the house. The guys are all excited and want to put them up in their boy’s bathroom. These guys are not known for their designer good taste:)
I made them draw straws for who had to clean the basement bathroom before the showing on Sunday. I figured that if the H is travelling down to view homes he probably is going to be interested in checking everything in garage and basement
Hmmm. Vintage posters in quality frames might be ok. But Journey’s original fans are about my age…pretty old. Is that the target demographic?
Contemporary graphics, or even a local professional sports team’s “art”, make sense for a man cave. 30 years ago, a Journey poster would have been right at home in a surf shack in Del Mar, Carlsbad, or thereabouts. I’m not sure it’s the right vibe for this project and your target, nearly $2-million, buyer pool.
good grief!!
your guys are NOT your decorator. Nor your target market buyer!
get rid of the posters asap. and tell them in the future to keep their individual "wish list"of decorating ideas to themselves- unless they want to buy the place for themselves!
I believe cb’s agent bought these posters on sale.
If she’s going to try to decorate part of the house herself in order to avoid paying for staging the entire thing, she needs to achieve a taste level that’s on par with the house and the target buyers.
The pic on the fireplace is a ‘painting’ (granted, some cheap copy) that is in a real wood frame. She got that for about $15 at a local store. I often have to veto some of her ideas
I will discretely hide those hideous posters in a closet turned around so noone can see them
Yes, we propped up the painting to hide the outlet for the preliminary photos. It’s kind of an eyesore in the middle of the fireplace surround (but very functional). If a buyer is not going to put a flat screen TV on the fireplace, they can install a mirror or painting
Not really seeing a problem with the roof tile colors in the photos that have been posted. The angle of the roof on the top floor is so shallow you can’t really even see what color they are.
Maybe it is more obvious in person, but based on the pictures it doesn’t seem like anything to worry about.
I don’t think the roof colors are an issue at all, at least not in the photos.
Those man cave posters are awful.
To me, it looks as if the third company might be better for your house. (It really is amazing how those white dining chairs make an appearance in what seems like 2/3 of the houses!) I could see a nice quality cushy leather sofa with rolled arms in your living room…
Just got back from hiding during the showing. My agent doesn’t think they are interested because he kept saying garage wasnt good enough. So we are moving forward with lowering the price and sending email blast to local agents tomorrow
Kitchen, kid bathrooms and powder room are all plumbed in and working. Kid bathrooms have towel bars, toilet paper holders and mirrors installed. Its really nice to have a kitchen sink to help with all the cleaning.
All baseboard and trim ready for final painting on main floor.
Top floor floors are dry, done and gorgeous
I have told my agent no more showings until after Thanksgiving because we are all tired of stopping all work and cleaning for hours
Im going to have to focus on hauling stuff out of here during Thanksgiving weekend
Our construction fence in back goes away next Tuesday!!! Yeah
If SF guy is trying to find a large updated house with great views and a multi car garage in Point Loma for under $2 million, no wonder they’ve been looking for six months.
