Flip This House #5

Can you browse the internet on that oven?

“He then hugged me twice and said my attention to detail was outstanding and he hopes to see me soon saving another house in Pt Loma.” That brought tears to the eyes of this old curmudgeon. Well done you!

Hmmmm, what could be happening tomorrow? My mind is churning with speculative theories …

I love solving mysteries. I’m trying to put together all the clues CB inadvertently left us…then mixing in a little of my optimism…and I think I’ve got it!!! TeeHee

What a lovely day for you in all this pouring rain! Can’t wait to hear about tomorrow’s great day.

@Marilyn

I would prefer rain over the 19 degree high temp here today…with 6-8 inches of snow predicted.

Wanna trade?

@thumper1 - I lived all but the last 18 months of my life in that kind of weather and much much worse. It took me 10 years of planning to make the move here. Feel free to do the same if you’re tired of winter.

The rain here today is unusual and makes cb’s day much more difficult so it’s nice for her to have such a positive counterpoint.

Today was even more glorious. We have a long standing tradition that I have lunch for everyone working on Fridays. My electrician always seems to show up on Fridays:) Sometimes I’ll ask the guys what they want and my carpenter will always pipe up with “Lobster”!! as a joke

Well today was the day. As soon as final inspection was done, and I finished my glass of champagne in one of the staging glasses, I went straight to the fish market. Live lobster from the tanks, french crusty bread, clam chowder and lots of butter (with some lemons from our staging) and fresh baked cookies. What a healthy meal!

I told everyone to clean up and come to kitchen and we had a lot of fun trying to kill the lobsters with utility knives, using a paint brush to baste and we broiled them. We made do with our construction tools instead of kitchen utensils

Ugghh…showing in a half hour. I sent everyone home for a weekend of rest and now the whole house smells like dead seafood. Trying to bleach everything and all doors open with fan blowing. Hopefully that expensive stove fan will do its job:)

Never a dull moment!! Don’t even get 4 hrs to bask in our glory. Back to humbling myself scrubbing on my hands and knees.

So many showings . . . so much good news!!! Can’t wait to hear what tomorrow’s surprise is.

Madly cutting up lemons from the staging and throwing them down garbage disposal and everywhere. Took all the trash out to alley can:)

And now I ran around and turned on every bath and laundry fan:)

You really do live a glamorous life!

So this unexpected showing is your third this afternoon? There is still a lot of interest in this property!

The lobster killing description made me think of Annie Hall.

No, only 2 showings today

Point Loma Seafood?? Yum!!

Be sure to let us know how the showings go!

We don’t usually get any feedback from the agents that do the showings. I stayed until they arrived, turned off all the fans, apologized for smell and then left. It was a nice looking grandma, husband/wife and a kid. They said they loved the vintage charm but that is all I know

So I guess we’ve established this is not a slow season for this market!
