And… two more agents just called for showings tomorrow on Friday.
Are open houses still advertised in newspapers? Or do you have to decide about Saturday?
The more showings…the better…right!?
So does your agent tell other agents coming for a first time showing that there is already an offer? Seems like it must be a delicate balance to encourage new visits all the while cranking up the pressure to put in an offer?
I think it is wise for CB to refrain from discussing anything related to the offer… We will know in due time.
The Open House is not advertised yet. We have to pull the trigger tomorrow to get the advertisement in the paper. The two other places it would get advertised would be inside the MLS and on Zillow.
Yes, she is explaining to agents that we have offer(s) but not in contract yet.
I think CB can write a great movie or TV series on all that she’s doing!
And the Zillow hits just keep on coming
258 views yesterday and 9 saves!!! Who are all these people??? (well, besides all of us)
I have viewed but never saved. I’m sure there are many who admire your great work! Hopefully they will be getting their offers in immediately to avoid being VERY disappointed.
What are we going to do for a hobby once the house really sells? Maybe we’ll need to have a “name that movie” contest for that great movie or TV series
I have a rehab house set to close Jan. 6. Let’s hope everything works!
What will we do?? I plan to tag along for Flip 6.
Flip #6 will not actually be a flip. The daughter and son in law of one of my previous projects have been patiently waiting for me to finish this project. I promised them I would remodel their house on a shoestring budget. It is going to be very interesting. I made this promise so that my crew would have work while I am looking for the next project.
Unfortunately I have been so busy I have not had time to work through a detailed estimate for them or provide some basic designs of walls we are going to blow out and kitchen configuration. They are taking a house that they divided into two units (kind of) and turning it into a family friendly residence because they are getting ready to have a child.
First I told them November and now it is going to be January before we get startedd. I had them come over during the Open House to see workmanship and get ideas
Lucky couple!
Man… How do we get on your list, CB?!
Yes, that couple is lucky.
It’s going to be a difficult remodel because they think they are going to ‘help’ to save costs. Also, they are going to try to live in the back of the house with a make shift kitchenette in their bedroom in the middle of the remodel. We have never done this before and my crew will not like it. I have a suspicion that the husband will be the type that looks over their shoulders, asks a bunch of questions and second guesses everything. This drives my carpenter crazy and he hates it. I promised him he never has to do one of those types of jobs again. He gets enough stress from me hanging over his shoulder and asking questions. He may walk off the job, we will see
In regards to ‘help’. This young couple has lived in a house on a canyon in a middle income neighborhood for years. Their back yard is choked with weeds and trash. Their garage is crammed with stuff. I cannot envision how they are going to ‘help’ since I see no evidence of them working on their house in the past.
Sounds like a difficult situation! Why did you agree to do it?
Sounds like this couple has watched too much HGTV!
That sounds like an interesting project. Hope you take us along for the ride!
How can they afford it? Are their parents chipping in?
