That might solve the tile choice problem! 
Give the tile guy a choice by asking him “which one would you prefer to cut to match the curves?” 
I think both are lovely and would make perfect accents. Good options! The tile cutter can be the tie breaker!
I don’t think you have to waste anything. Just lay out a few pieces and draw a line down the middle and cut along the line. The bottom half will fit on the top, and the top half will fit on the bottom.
I’ll put in another vote for the wave tile. The Leilani tile is beautiful but the wave tile is both beautiful and relaxing.
I think NRE has the solution - I vote wave tile.

The wave tile wins, IMO, but only if the surrounding tile is cut to “hug the curves.” A rectangular stripe of wave tile would not look as great as the wave-like insert into plain tile. But that is just IMO.
OK wave tile wins!! It is growing on me. I think the Leilani is too subtle and will probably not give me ‘joy’ after a couple of years. I’ll see if the tile guy will custom cut my large marble tiles to hug the curves. If not, I will take @notrichenough excellent suggestion. I would have never thought to cut the tile down the middle and then try to jigsaw the outer pieces back together!

Not much new to report. Having a hard time getting a tile guy to show up. He’s a week late to the show!! Just as well because we had a lot of infrastructure work to do such as Denshield, Hardibacker and drywall. Still have another layer of mud and sanding in bathroom to go. It never ends! Closet has new smooth texture and it’s done and primed.
Painters start on Monday, tile starts on Monday and the little covered deck off studio will get built next week while my crew won’t be able to work inside the house. New flooring in about 2 weeks.
My back patio is ruined. Even though I tried to cover everything I caught my carpenter sawing drywall, mdf, you name it and then they tracked drywall mud everywhere. Spent an entire day today cleaning every orifice because, guess what!!, trying to host a large graduation dinner next Tuesday. With one bathroom for 50 guests (in back studio), and no access to my kitchen because it’s covered in plastic. Lucky I have the street taco guys (that’s a thing here in San Diego) on speed dial? Need to get the windows cleaned, which is a total waste of time and money because they’ll be a mess again in 2 days.

Aack! I totally feel your pain! I am actually thinking that if I get canned at my office, I will start a drywall repair business called The Neat Gal Drywall. I hate the mess those dudes leave - with a passion!!!
Drywall dust from sanding is the most insidious fine layer of dust that gets into every nook and cranny. I accidentally took my nice cordless vacuum cleaner over to a project once to clean up piles of drywall dust. It completely jammed and ruined the vacuum cleaner because one little drop of moisture and it turns into goo.
There are sanders that hook into vacuum cleaners that vacuum up all the dust as you go, the trick is getting the workers to use something different than they are used to.
And we know how successful that would be! There is also drywall mud that generates less dust, but it costs more.
I have seen the little bags that attach to the big power sanders to catch the dust, but have never seen a drywaller use power sanders. They sand with fine sandpaper or drywall net on long poles. No way to catch the dust unless you pay a guy to immediately follow with big shop vac with some special attachment. Not going to happen
Still nothing to really take a picture of but we have big new beefy trim up around the windows and doors and have all the new doors on order. Currently the doors are hollow with mahogany veneer luan. People think Oh! You can’t get rid of your mahogany doors. Yes, because they are dinged, scratched and ugly. Gone
Here’s what I ordered and will probably paint them white because they all face into the large living/dining/ kitchen. But some of the colors in the brochure are very tempting:)

So my latest struggle is bathroom sconces. I need 4 in various locations in the master bath. They should match because the bathroom is pretty wide open with glass now. They probably need to be satin nickel because my shower fixtures are nickel and stainless. But maybe a slight variation in metal finish wouldn’t hurt as long as I get same finish in the faucets. Here’s my criteria:
Satin Nickel?
Not too contemporary because of all the marble and mother of pearl in the room
MUST be closed on top or facing down or wide open. Learned my lesson on upward bowls that catch all dead bugs and dust!!
Slightly feminine or delicate but not required
One bulb only because there are already two recessed lights in vaulted ceiling above shower
Thinking something like this but it still isn’t enough Wow for me and not sure I really want to see the light bulb. Suppose I could buy some pretty light bulb

I like the Savoy house sconces the best from coralbrook’s list. The first link doesn’t work, but I tracked it down. It would bug me too to see the bulb through the shade.
