flood

Hope you are all doing okay after the flood. I know 1000 students were evacuated from their place to live.

So sorry for all of you that had damage to a home in Lewisburg, or in the case of students, an apartment or house. Good luck to those students in condemned places to live this semester.

It was a flood that occurs rarely.

Oh, dear. I didn’t hear about this. I’ll have to go look it up.

D, a senior, lucked out on this one. She lives off campus but suffered no damaged, and wasn’t even evacuated. Here are some links:

wondering how the downhill dorms, or other campus housing fared through the flood - damage to basement, first floor rooms, any ongoing issues…mold, etc?

I hear there is no lasting damage to the downhill dorms or most other university property. Some houses in off-campus locations were damaged (I think 6th/7th street - D said she heard a couple were condemned).

At parents weekend a couple weeks ago, there was no sign that anything had been amiss, except for the high water marks on some trees.
