Florence Henderson has passed away at age 82

Brady Bunch was without a doubt one of the highlights of my childhood. I remember binge watching it in the hospital when I was younger and it made the stay so much easier.

May she rest well.

RIP Carol Brady.

Just read the news this morning. So hard to believe. Just saw her on tv a few weeks ago on Dancing with the Stars supporting Maureen McCormick (Marsha Brady). Will always be remembered as the sweet mom on the Brady Bunch.

Mom always says don’t play ball in the house.

the best mom that I never got to have. (yes I know carol brady was a character but that is how a mom is suppose to be at least in tv land)

RIP Florence Henderson

Sad

This show was such a large part of my childhood, as was the Indianapolis 500. She and Jim Nabors were a big part of that, and it makes me feel so old and sad when so many of those people are no longer with us. RIP.

Super sad when I saw this this morning. She seemed so well!

Interesting that she could be my childhood “mom” - I’m 57…and Romani’s as well who is decades younger!

She always seemed so perky and young. Will miss her presence.

America’s mom.

RIP Mrs Brady.

I read that it happened fairly quickly and was really unexpected, as she had seemed quite well even days before. Her family was able to be by her side at the end, apparently. I guess that’s really the best anyone can hope for. RIP Florence.

At some point yesterday H put on a rerun of an old The King of Queens Thanksgiving episode and Florence Henderson played Carrie’s mom. I even remarked how I’d never seen that one before. How eerie to wake up to the news she died.

@abasket she seemed like one of those eternal moms.

The Brady kids are now orphans.

She was ageless. RIP.

She was a wonderful performer. Anyone remember seeing her dance? She was fabulous!

RIP!

Nice tribute to remember her.

It is interesting that she played the quintessential mom, and yet her own background was pretty rough, I kind of wonder if in playing the role she was channeling her past and playing the character the way she would have liked to have a mom:). I saw her sing a couple of times over the years, and she was talented. Rest in peace, and may you be remembered the way you would want to be remembered, that to me is the ultimate thing to strive for:)

I heard an old interview yesterday where she said she played Carol Brady as the mother she always wished she had had.
