<p>I am entering my junior year of high school.(semi-competitive school) I did terribly freshman year due to my school feeling the need to try out a crazy new scheduale. Everyone did poorly. I ended with a 3.5 unweighted gpa. (school doesn’t tell weighted). I had all honors classes. If I had above a 4.0 unweighted gpa this year, has my freshman year ruined my chances of making competitive women’s colleges? (Wellseley, Mount Holyoke)</p>
<p>I dont think a 3.5 is flunking, I think it’s fine! You still have junior year to bring your gpa up too. Also I have heard that admissions officers like to see an upwards trend in your grades, so as long as your grades continue to go up, I think you will be fine. Plus you have other factors like the SAT/ACT, ECs, essays, and showing interest in the school that can help you out! Good luck!</p>
<p>…yea with that terrible 3.5 gpa you’d be lucky if you get into a community college. Might as well start practicing how you’re gonna say “would you like fries with that?” Sucks 2 suck I guess 
No. Stop. You’ll be perfectly fine. Stop worrying. Summer is a time to go out and play with friendz not worry about school. Plus it was only freshman year colleges generally are more chill about it. Just don’t “flunk” again. Heaven forbid you graduate with a 3.5 gpa…</p>
