Fluor Tower vs. IRC vs. AHRC

I decided that I wanna go for a 8 person suite as a freshman at USC but I don’t know which one to pick between Fluor, IRC, and AHRC.

I know Fluor has a living room and that’s pretty cool but IRC/AHRC has the “best” dorms.

Can anyone provide some pros and cons? Thanks!

I bump this thread, I’d like to know too!

IRC and AHRC are basically the same. But IRC is closer to Parkside Dining, and they have red carpeting, whereas AHRC has blue carpeting.

Fluor is right next to the Lyon Center (the on campus gym), so many athletes choose to live there. It’s also convenient, since Cafe 84 is right next to Fluor.

My D lived both in Arts and Humanities and in IRC, both in a 6 person suite. AH is slightly newer and has a small common space within the suite, enough for a table and 2 or 3 chairs. Otherwise the suites are more or less the same…2 full bathrooms, and similar sized rooms, same furniture.
General populations of both are pretty much the same, though I guess there may be somewhat more international students in IRC due to the name…hence more may apply there.
D was very happy in IRC where she spent most of freshman year (only 6 weeks or so in AH due to a roommate issue)
IRC has a nicer front area, more cosy if you will, with tables and greenery outside on a plaza area whereas AH has a large grassy area in front, which is nice too.
As for the little common space lacking in the IRC suite, my D did not really miss that. Suitemates simply spent time in each others’ rooms.
Both buildings have common areas…though I think IRC did not have a TV/lounge area on each floor as AH does (might be wrong)
Both residences hold their own functions, activities and get togethers.
Basically you can’t go wrong with either.

Don’t know much about Fluor.

How are Fluor dorms?

If anyone can add some more insight that will be great! =)
