Foam vs Microfiber Mattress Pad

Hi everyone. :)

This past weekend, my parents and I were dorm shopping and decided to purchase a microfiber mattress pad from Kohl’s ([The Big One Microfiber Mattress Pad](http://■■■■■■/TrSVs)). However today I noticed while checking out lists that sometimes people will buy a foam mattress pad rather than microfiber. On the product page for what I have (linked above), the rating is 5/5 stars, which I would understand to mean good quality. Is this generally just a matter of personal preference?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thank you!

I have never tried a microfiber mattress pad…my foam one has done a pretty good job so far so I haven’t seen the need to try anything different.

Going to jump on this thread… For people who like really firm beds, do you go with or without a mattress pad?

Whenever I’ve gone and stayed at college campuses for visits/camps/etc, I’ve never had any trouble sleeping, but everyone seems to complain about the beds. I like my beds firm though…

^Then you’re in luck!

I’ve tried both, and honestly, The foam mattress pads are far more comfortable than the microfibre. That might just be me though. You should at least feel both of them and see which one feels best for you.

Definitely go for the foam. It’s more cushioned than microfiber.
