I don’t see this as a dozen people out of 319 people. Nobody open carries where I live. It’s zero here.
Are there vigilantes at Stanford?
The law professor who is leading the recall of Persky doesn’t speak too highly of these vigilantes.
I am not ashamed of this country. I know there are generous acts that go unreported. Most of the United States does not act like a third world country.
These are a dozen out of 319 million. I’ve lived in Ohio and Texas and I’ve only ever seen one person open carry (and even he may have been a law enforcement officer, I don’t know).
I’m not going to let a dozen opportunists who seem to be acting for stupid and selfish motives affect my view of the entire country.
On my facebook feed there were some very difficult to watch buzzfeed videos about rape and this case.
I couldn’t watch the whole thing because it was so disturbing. I wasn’t going to post it here because it would be too difficult to stomach.
I guess I didn’t write this well. I am not talking about the whole country. There are mini cultures throughout the country. This culture reflected by the dozen people is not a culture I would like to live in.
I live in the United States and I don’t live in that culture.
