I find this comment interesting:
Sadly ironic that this article comes on the heels of an NPR piece about 1/3 of college students being food-insecure. Some kids don’t blink at $5 delivery charges, while around them there are students going without. https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2018/04/03/599198739/food-housing-insecurity-may-be-keeping-college-students-from-graduating

This is definitely an example of the widening chasm between the rich and poor in the US today.

When I first heard of similar food delivery services in Metro Boston (such as Insomnia Cookies and GoPuff), my initial thought was this was a stoner’s dream come true!

It’s sad these kids will never have that eating-ramen-noodles-for-a-week experience most of us had. That is, until they graduate and try to find a place to live while paying off crippling college debt.

I can’t imagine using such a service in addition to paying for a meal plan, but I guess I’m the odd man out.
