Food On A Stick

I’ve had Deep-fried Butter on a Stick. It was good and not as rich as you would think.

The big thing at the Iowa State Fair is Pork Chop on a Stick – I don’t think they let you leave the Fairground until you have one. But they are actually pretty healthy. A pork chop, trimmed so the bone forms the stick, then grilled on a woodfired grill with just salt and pepper. Served with a side of applesauce if you want. Yum.

not sure if I can eat cicadas…

Describe in more detail the butter-on-a-stick please! Taste, consistency, size, do you dip it in something else…that kind of thing. I admit to loving butter but just can’t imagine this option yet!

Camping in MT, my youngest and two nephews were catching grasshoppers and roasting them on their marshmallow sticks over the campfire. I have to admit, not too bad.

The only thing I make on a stick is grilled salmon satay. I may try to win the contest.
