Food Stamps, Bipolar? HELP

So I can’t decide what I want to write about for my CommonApp essay but I think I’ve narrowed it down to 2. I can either write about living on welfare/food stamps (i really need help starting this) or dealing with a bipolar/schizophrenic father. i don’t want either to sound like a sob story but i do need help to start the essay.

OR

i have albinism and i was considering writing an essay on that but i haven’t really done anything because of it so im not sure if that would make a god essay. help!

The topic, out of the three you mentioned, that would make the best essay is the one that has ‘made’ you most as a person.
It doesn’t have to be from anything you’ve done personally (though that does help), but what you’ve learned (from reactions from other people about albinism, dealing with your father, and lifestyle choices made from living on welfare). While I think the albinism one is going to be rarer, if you don’t feel like it’s a big deal other than that it simply makes you look different, that’s going to show on your essay. Colleges are looking for diverse and mature students who have something unique to contribute to the school, and any of the three topics you’ve mentioned could (potentially) help create great essays.
Also, there’s no need to bump while your topic’s still on the first page; this forum doesn’t move -that- quickly.
