<p>I tried to make gingerbread today from a highly rated recipe on a cooking website. It does not taste at all like gingerbread! It’s more like a spice cake and I had doubled the ginger.</p>
<p>If anyone has a good, easy gingerbread recipe they would share, i’d be very thankful!</p>
<p>The brand new (Jan-Feb 2011) issue of Cooks Illustrated has a gingerbread recipe - and one of their critiques of some other recipes is that they taste too much like spice cake!</p>
<p>Their website is subscription-only, but if you’d like to pm me with your email I’m allowed to email the recipe to you from their website. Haven’t tried it myself yet, but it sounds good.</p>
