Foothill College Questions

I’ve been forced to return to California since I couldn’t afford to pay my tuition at Northeastern. If I were to go to Foothill for a year or more, is there a way I can transfer to a 4 year university before completing 2 years at foothill? I want to get back to a 4 year university as soon as possible and hope to save up for tuition during this time away from university.

Depends on which 4year college you want to transfer into. There are many privates that will look at sophomore transfers. Are you certain you want to go back to a private college and all the costs that entails?

If you want to transfer into a UC or CSU, you will need to finish the equivalent of two years of study (between all colleges). Depending on how much of your NE credits fulfill the IGETC plan, you may only have 1.5 years left before you’d be ready for transfer.

What are your new target transfer schools?

I want to either come back to NU, or transfer to UCLA, Berkeley, Cal Poly and possibly some out of state or private schools depending on how I am doing financially and how much aid they give to transfers.
