FOP = already filled up?

Hi! I’m going to be attending Harvard in the fall and I really really really really really want to do FOP for pre-orientation (the outdoors one).

I just committed to Harvard and now I can apply to FOP. However, is it already filled up? If FOP gets lots of applications, is it on a first-come first-serve basis? If not, how are they going to choose(the FOP application is kind of unspecific and basic, so you wouldn’t really be able to evaluate based on the application)?

I’m also going to apply to FAP (arts) just in case, but should I also apply to FUP just in case too? (their application is long, so I don’t want to apply if there’s a good chance I will be offered a spot in FAP or FOP)

One last question: If I do get accepted to both FOP and FAP, do I get to choose? Or will they choose one for me?

Thank you!

“is it already filled up?”

I doubt it, given that last year about 400 kids went on 32 FOP trips, but you could contact fop@fas.harvard.edu and ask them. See: [FAQ § Harvard FOP](http://fop.fas.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k87817&pageid=icb.page551756)

FOP doesn’t cap the number of students who can go. I don’t know when the deadline to submit an application is, but I’m pretty well sure it’s not before you have to commit to Harvard as a university.
