About applying for non-traditional housing, you have to keep in mind that it isn’t available in the standard housing application. It’s actually, in my opinion anyway, rather difficult to find the application on the website. I guess that’s sort of a sneaky way of trying to get you to apply for the regular housing instead. I actually had trouble looking for the link to the non-traditional housing application, and I already knew where to look.

In order to not apply for regular housing, you will need to use [this link](https://nwrdc.fsu.edu:1204/fsysrr70) instead of the one that is listed prominently on the FSU housing website.

If you’re wondering whether the link you are using to apply for housing is for traditional (regular freshman/upperclassman dorms) or nontraditional, look for one of two things:

In the terms and conditions that are listed on the page, if it says your deposit is $225, it’s the traditional housing. Nontraditional housing only requires a $75 deposit. You’ll find the price listed under item #5 on the page:

Just above the links to apply for housing (where you click on either new or current resident), you should see the following message:
If you don’t see that message, you’re most likely on the wrong application.

Hope this helps!
