<p>it really depends i guess. i’m from China and i got into penn engineering school. my high school rank is like 4 out of 480 but sat score is not so good compared with other applicants in our school. it’s pretty much like buying lottery. more than 120 applied to penn in our city and only 3 got in. and i do believe there are many students as good as me, if not better.</p>

<p>Okay, so let’s say there is no Highschool diploma, could A-levels be a substitute for that to get into Penn?</p>

<p>For my A Levels I did Phy Chem Math Econs at H2, with GP and PW at H1, and also H3 econs. Yep.</p>
