For NYU supplement, is it better to write about this or that?

For the “What intrigues you? & explain significance to you” question, is it better to write about a quote about changing the world or about the weather, and be very descriptive?

Also, is it bad if I have a recurring theme of changing the world in all my essays? And is it bad if two of the essays (one for a portfolio & one for common app) are both dramatic events about changing the world? They are different events and completely different topics but both have a beginning and end, and the ultimate theme, about changing the world.

Tell me what you think.

I think about the weather would be better because its more unique to you. Maybe how you plan to impact the world through your interest in weather? I think that changing the world is more vague and could apply to many. They want to learn about you!
And I don’t think having two changing the world essays are bad as long as they are sincere!
