My school was closed due to snow during the original AMC testing day. Today (make-up day), it is closed once agiain due to heavy fog and icy roads. How can this happen!
This is my first year taking the AMC 12 (I’m a junior), and I was planning to actually make the AIME this year, since the cut-off is considerably lower for the AMC 12. I guess I will have to wait for next year, but what’s the point in that? By this time my senior year, college apps will already have been sent in. After apps have been turned in, can I write letters to colleges to update my qualifications if I receive recent awards/honors?
I am fuming!

haha, that happened to me, too, except i’m a senior…i qualified for AIME as a junior, though. yeah, you can definitely write to them…actually one of my schools specifically stated that…but if you think you’ll be getting a few more awards, send a comprehensive update…email is iffy, but if you do a letter it will definitely be read and added to your file.

enjoy the day off…breathe.
